Hi everyone! This is Julia of
The Broke and the Bookish, formerly blogging on my own at
The Competitive Bibliomaniac.
I read mostly historical romance, but can often be found reviewing paranormal romance, young adult books (mostly distopian/fantasy), fantasy/sci-fi, classics,
and the occasional non-fiction book about languages.
Feel free to follow and reblog!
I've read 154 out of 343 pages
This book is stressing me out. I can't imagine being in any of the characters positions in this book. It's brought up a good deal of conundrums though that I am hoping mean a good bookclub discussion.
I am always wary when my book wins the vote for the month... what if people dont like it? And this one I just found by searching lists for good bookclub books...
The good thing is I am interested in it. The bad thing is that is a rough subject. But another good thing is that it's Australian and I don't read a lot of non-US published books. So let's hope it somehow ends happily? Maybe they all end up in a love commune... but the last time I wished for that was with Reaching for the Moon (youtube link) and that decidedly did not happen (erm... spoilers for the movie/real life).
