Hi everyone! This is Julia of
The Broke and the Bookish, formerly blogging on my own at
The Competitive Bibliomaniac.
I read mostly historical romance, but can often be found reviewing paranormal romance, young adult books (mostly distopian/fantasy), fantasy/sci-fi, classics,
and the occasional non-fiction book about languages.
Feel free to follow and reblog!

I liked the plot more than the romance. Both of the main characters, and their romance, fell flat for me. The only thing that kept me reading was finding out what would happen with the Prince. And even that was a bit of a letdown.

Now
I remember raging while reading this. I am pretty sure this was one that stayed with me after finishing for all the wrong reasons. I couldn't even tell you who the protagonists were. I just remember rape and rage. It made me not want to read any more Dodd.
I also remember that this book had like a money back guarantee and I missed it by like a day. Woe.
