Hi everyone! This is Julia of
The Broke and the Bookish, formerly blogging on my own at
The Competitive Bibliomaniac.
I read mostly historical romance, but can often be found reviewing paranormal romance, young adult books (mostly distopian/fantasy), fantasy/sci-fi, classics,
and the occasional non-fiction book about languages.

This book is so intense! My heart rate has just been jumping the whole time I am reading it, even moreso now that I am into part two! Which really, you would think it would have pounded more in part one.
Regardless I am happy for the burst of laughter that was inspired by the Countess of Lockwood:
"You'll be the artist, then, the one he's promoting?"
"Shh!" The Earl of Lockwood looked around frantically. "Damn it, Anna, that's supposed to be a secret!"
"Oh, was the unaware she painted?"
A much needed bit of levity in an otherwise book of deep emotion. So far, sooo good!

So far this is so interesting! It's my first romance 1)set in India 2)by Duran. So far so good. I wish I could read more now, but alas it is pushing 3:30 am ... oh sleep, why must you remove me from such a book?
