About Julia

Hi everyone! This is Julia of The Broke and the Bookish, formerly blogging on my own at The Competitive Bibliomaniac.

I read mostly historical romance, but can often be found reviewing paranormal romance, young adult books (mostly distopian/fantasy), fantasy/sci-fi, classics, and the occasional non-fiction book about languages.

Feel free to follow and reblog!

Oh GR! What has happened to you?

I was taking some time to continue my manual move of my books from GR, when I stumbled onto a book that I wasn't sure I still wanted to read. So I clicked through to the book page to refresh myself on the description, and here is what I saw:

messed up description

Of course I did. I figured I knew who was the culprit on this, but just to make sure I checked the librarian change log and yup... amazon_kcw

amazon messing up descriptions

It's such a travesty that all that data we went through painstakingly to save is getting messed with by an import that doesn't seem to be making any sense. I couldn't be arsed to actually fix the description. Why waste my time?
