Hi everyone! This is Julia of The Broke and the Bookish, formerly blogging on my own at The Competitive Bibliomaniac.
I read mostly historical romance, but can often be found reviewing paranormal romance, young adult books (mostly distopian/fantasy), fantasy/sci-fi, classics, and the occasional non-fiction book about languages.
Feel free to follow and reblog!
Not as gripping as the first. There were quite a few times where I wished things would move on. Having said that though this is still a good story. Near the end I enjoyed it as things started to pick up.
This time around I noticed a bit more things that annoyed me about the heroine. Her astuteness is sometimes remarkable and sometimes completely ridiculous.
Still, it was a good read and I will be continuing the tales in the next book.
