Hi everyone! This is Julia of The Broke and the Bookish, formerly blogging on my own at The Competitive Bibliomaniac.
I read mostly historical romance, but can often be found reviewing paranormal romance, young adult books (mostly distopian/fantasy), fantasy/sci-fi, classics, and the occasional non-fiction book about languages.
Feel free to follow and reblog!
It started off good, then slowly took a turn for bad. The farther I got into this novel, the more I wanted it to end. The climax was ok but nothing great. It reminded me of something worse than a Dan Brown novel (which says a lot). Very cliche. Too many times I wondered why no one smarter than David figured it out before him.
But I did like the beginning and the overall premise.
